Anyuy River (Chukotka)

Anyuy River (Russian: Анюй) is a river in Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia. It is a right tributary of the Kolyma River. It is formed at the confluence of the Big and Little Anyuy Rivers, which originate on the Anadyr Plateau. The length of the Anyuy River proper is just eight kilometers. The length of the Big Anyuy is 693 km; Little Anyuy—738 km. The area of the basin of the whole Anyuy river system is 107,000 km² (Big Anyuy—57,200 km²; Little Anyuy—49,800 km²). The Anyuy River may stay under the ice for up to nine months.
