Hi, this is Anusha Chaitanya. I'm from Vizag (or Visakhapatnam) in Andhra Pradesh on the south eastern coast of the Indian sub-continent. I love my country and would love to do anything to make it the best. I'd be turning 18 on the 15th of January next year. I'm quite eagerly waiting for that as, once, I'm that old, I can enjoy all the privileges of an adult citizen of my country.
I find Indian politics very interesting as there's a lot of scope and need for reform here, lots of problems waiting for solutions. I also like to read a lot of books (only fiction, history and at times some serious philosophy would also do) though I haven't read many.
I love art. I've made some sketches (only pencil sketches) whenever I could.
Some of the good books (I feel they're good. You may have a different opinion) in the order I've read them (as far as I remember) are :-
The IITians by Sandipan Deb
The Alchemist (book) by Paulo Coelho
Veronika Decides to Die, also by Paulo Coelho
The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
Education and the Significance of Life by J. Krishnamurthi
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Five point someone by Chetan Bhagat
Gone with the wind by Margaret Mitchell (my favourite book)
One Night @ the Call Center, also by Chetan Bhagat
The Hills of Angheri by Kaveri Nambisan
A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
Love Story, also by Erich Segal
Satan Never Sleeps by Pearl S. Buck
and the whole Harry Potter series(no one can miss that!!) by J. K. Rowling
The languages I can converse in considerably well are English, Hindi and Telugu(my mother tongue). I also learnt Oriya but can only write in this language. I can't converse very well in Oriya though I manage to understand when someone's speaking Oriya. I've not been to any places outside India yet. In India, I've visited many places in the south, some places in the east and south east and a few in the west and north. I enjoy travelling (alone or in groups, either way) a lot. I love the Indian monsoon and winter.
I also like to watch a lot of movies. Here too, I haven't watched a very good number of them.I also enjoy good music (there's no particular genre I can mention because I just listen to anything that appeals to my ears and usually, I don't know what genre it is. I know, this is a bad state of affairs). Among sports (outdoor), if there's anything I can play properly, its badminton (I tried a lot many other sports but wasn't good enough in any of them). I enjoy playing chess and other not so popular indoor games. I also like solving puzzles, trying riddles, etc.
I'm here to get the maximum from wikipedia and give it the maximum (how much ever I can do). I appreciate what Wikipedia is doing as an encyclopedia and more.
