Hello Anthony, I’d really appreciate it if you would adopt me, sometimes I need someone to consult with about Wikipedia and I don’t have anybody… :) Db1944 18:13, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's settled then! Let's add appropiate boxes (you would add: {{Template:Adoptee|Anthony cfc}}) and we are officially adopted users!
- Cheers and Regards

- I've done my part...
- Now i have a question – can I steal your Personality Disorder Test Results box for my own UserPage? I did the test and I’d like to add the results.
- - Db1944 18:54, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
No probs. In fact that personality test is wrong..I stole it from someone else lol :) Anthonycfc (talk • email) {{subst:CURRENTTIME}}, {{subst:CURRENTDAYNAME}} [[{{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTDAY}}]] [[{{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}]] (UTC)

- I have some questions about vandalism and I was wondering if I can e-mail you about it, I’m not sure it’s appropriate for your talk page.
- - Db1944 20:37, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
No probs but I'm going off Wiki now so I will have your answer to you by tommorrow. Have a good night! Cheers. Anthonycfc (talk • email) 13:11, Wednesday December 13, 2006 (UTC)
- Hello Anthony, I was wondering who is considered a newbie, what kind of articles is blocked to edits by one, and when do one stops being a newbie? Thanks!

- Hey there; I was wondering if you did get my email message with a rather extensive reply to your original message? With regards to the above, a newbie is really used until you learn the Wikipedia policies and stops making newbie mistakes. To be honest it doesn't matter if you are a newbie - always remember it's the quality not quantity of your edits that makes you a good Wikipedian. Also, fully-protected pages can only be edited by an administrator and semi-protected pages can only be edited by establised users (users who have been on Wikipedia for more than 4 days). See here for an example of a fully protected page; see WP:SEMI for details with the semi-protection policy; see WP:PPol for details with the full protection policy. Hope I've helped, and don't hesitate to contact me again! Cheers, nice hearing from you and regards: Anthonycfc (talk • email) 13:11, Wednesday December 13, 2006 (UTC)

- I did get your e-mail and it was very informative – thank you. I’m also waiting anxiously for that article review on Lev HaMifratz Railway Station, but only if you have the time to do it. Sof Shavu’a Naim (Pleasant Weekend).

- Anthony, I was wondering if you could direct me to an explanation on how to create templates. Thanks
- – Db1944 19:02, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- I’ll revise my query – I’ve decided to take on a new task, I want to standardize the articles about Israeli Highways to a more international look. To that end I need to create two things:
- > A box that will be on the right of the page containing the Highway’s logo and basic information (resembling the “UK motorway routebox” in the M1 motorway article).
- > A list containing the interchanges and junctions (resembling the exit list in the Massachusetts Turnpike article).
- I’ve researched Wikipedia for hours today and haven’t found a template that would suit an article concerning an Israeli highway. One has too many redundant details, anther is lacking important details, and so on. I’d appreciate any help you can provide.

- It’s been a busy day for me on Wikipedia, so here’s another query: I’ve read the Veolia Transportarticle and saw that the user Pockets23 added some harsh-worded criticism about the company’s operations in Jerusalem (see Criticisms). First of all, I don’t think the statement is consistent with NPOV. Second, he’s quoting a very dubious source as a reference to that statement. Can I challenge the authenticity of that fact and ask that it be removed? Hope you'll have the time to look it over. Gratefully yours, Db1944 22:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hey there; I'll respond to your comments soon - I promise! However, at the moment my workload is sort of Ben Nevis-sized at the moment and as such I regret I don't have time to respond. Apologies, but I really must clear my workload; once I have caught up I will terminate my neglect of you! Cheers and regards, Anthonycfc (talk • email) 18:17, Tuesday December 5, 2006 (UTC)
- Would you like this explanation here or over email? Anthonycfc (talk • email) 19:27, Wednesday December 6, 2006 (UTC)
-
- It doesn’t really matter, I leave it up to you. The links here can help, but if it’s a long answer maybe it's better via e-mail. Db1944 19:44, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good evening Db1944; hope your doing well and apologies for the necessary halt in editing. As per usual, I will answer your queries in the same order as you asked them.
-
- Regarding: creating similar infobox to the M1 Motorway article's infobox. That is simple! Click here to edit the M1 article; I have helpfully inserted little notices under the heading of "<!---BEGIN INFOBOX--->" and "<!---END INFOBOX--->" to mark the start and end of the code you need to copy and paste. Highlight the code (which is used to create the infobox) and copy; paste it over to any of the Israel Highway articles you wish to have it in.
Now you need to tweak the infobox for appropiate use in an Israeli highway; I will leave that up to you, but remember a few things: (i) Insert the proper logo rather than the British Motorways logo; (ii) I am not very well informed about the governments in countries such as Israel, and it may be there is an equivalent of the EU which has a secondary name (in the M1's case, E13) - if not then remember to remove this field.
Now I would do all this myself but I feel as though if you know how to do it then it is +1 Template expert! If you need more help on this issue, you now where I am!
- "...a list of interchanges and junctions..." - just edit the template above with your own knowledge.
- I will get on to the railway station review as soon as possible.
- Regarding: Veolia Transport article; have you resolved the NPOV issue concerning this article? If not then I will review it, but I may have to take it on as a AMA case to excert my full services. Please reply if it has been resolved - but in the meantime a word/link of advice: Be bold!
- Advice for the day: always be WP:CIVIL, always be bold and always (apart from the previous two) Ignore all rules!. Cheers, and have a nice night. Anthonycfc (talk • email) 19:53, Saturday December 9, 2006 (UTC)
- Good Day Anthony, about the Veolia Transport debate – it hasn’t been resolved because I’ve haven’t challenged it yet. I really don’t know where to start. Should I add a discussion on the talk page? Should I contact the user who added that section? I’d like to hear you advise on the correct plan of action, this is the first time I’m officially challenging something in Wikipedia. Another thing – you’ve said that your review of the railway article is complete, but I can’t find it. Did you post it somewhere? Best wishes, Db1944 13:52, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to the AMA
Hello Anthony cfc. I am Wikiwoohoo, deputy co-ordinator of the AMA. I wanted to say extend my thanks to you for joining the AMA. Just a note, the association's current meeting is now on at AMA Meeting/December 2006. If you would like to comment on any of the ongoing discussion then you are very welcome to. I hope to see you around. Wikiwoohoo 18:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Random markup
In this edit, you added this to the top of the article: <!--[[]]--->
I haven't taken it out in case it's there for a reason, but I am curious as to why it's there. Chris cheese whine 01:15, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your signature
You still haven't done anything about your signature. Sort it out. JDtalk 01:20, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- User:J Di - thank you for your comments concerning my signature, but I would like to point out that every template connected with my signature template ({{User:Anthony_cfc/signature}}) been "subst'd". Once again, thank you for your comments but the signature appears to be working perfectly. Cheers for your comments and regards, Anthonycfc (talk • email) 13:11, Wednesday December 13, 2006 (UTC)
-
I beg to differ. The time shown above is still the current time, not the time the comments were left. More worryingly, it seems that the subst'ing of the information has left the subst time in the signature on a more permanent basis. Any reason you can't just use the normal timestamps like the rest of us? ;) Chris cheese whine 12:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC) Moved to the Troll archive (Anthony cfc; 11:00 11/12/06 (GMT))
- I've sorted it, it should work properly now. JDtalk 12:45, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- To User:J Di, thank you for your help - much appreciated! Cheers, Anthonycfc (talk • email) 19:11, Monday December 4, 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
I would like to take the time to thank you for voting in my unsuccessful RFA. Your constructive criticism was helpful and will guide me as a civil editor in the future. Have a nice day, and I apologize for the laggy response! -- Chris is me 04:57, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Admin coaching, etc.
Are you ready to get started?
The waiting time over at Admin coaching is long (some people have been waiting in line since July). I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc.
The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller.
All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc.
In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia.
You are cordially invited to participate.
Here's an announcement box which you can place on your userpage or at the top of your talk page for keeping up to date with classroom assignments.
I hope to see you there. Sincerely, The Transhumanist 07:37, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good afternoon (GMT time); as you may or may not have noticed from my user page, I am currently experiencing mental/physical illnesses (OCD breakdown & Flu) and I have been advised to cease all time at the computer. As such, I am undertaking a Christmas wikibreak; I hope to be back after December 25 (2006). I am very keen to begin Admin Coaching, and I hope that these unfortunate circumstances will not affect my chances of participating in admin coaching. Cheers, regards and MerryChristmas - Anthonycfc (talk • email) 12:15, Wednesday December 13, 2006 (UTC)
