This is an excellent "literal translation" of the National Anthem of Kazakstan.

For a "singable" version:

We are the brave and proud people of Kazakstan.
Fortune has favored us, we survived with our land.
We survived in our fight for freedoms light.
Coming out of the dark tyrant's hell, tyrant's hell.

Refrain:

Steppe Eagle, fly up high in the sky.
Call the people to life with your cry.
Our heroes come out of the people,
Whose strength is in their great unity.

Translated into "singable" English verse by Tamara Ibrahim, School #24, Kazak Business Lyceum, Taldykorgan, Kazakstan. With assistance of Ron Seibel, Peace Corps Volunteer (Kaz 1.) 1994.
