Category:Anti-Semitic people
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia defines Anti-Semitism as "hostility toward or prejudice against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group, which can range from individual hatred to institutionalized, violent persecution."
Any article which is placed in this category should have relevant and sourced content in the article's main body which establishes, based on the standards below, that person as an anti-Semite. If these criteria are not met, the category tag will be removed. Relevant debated regarding the membership of a specific article should be conducted at the article's Talk page.
Specifically, the article to be categorized must provide reliable sources proving the individual or group mentioned in the article meets one of the following criteria:
- Made statements or published writings which demonstrate hatred towards Jews as a people. This does not include critics of Israel, people who have shown hostility or hatred toward specific Jews for reasons other than their ethnic or religious identity and other categories that don't fit this specific criteria.
- People or groups who have committed violent acts against Jews or destroyed their property. Again, the article should include verifiable sources showing that the act was driven by hostility towards Jews in general.
NOTE: Anti-Semitic people who are members of Nazi, neo-Nazi, or KKK groups are categorized in the sub-categories below and are considered a part of this general category. Disclaimer: This category may inappropriately label persons. See Wikipedia:categorization of people for advice on how to apply categorization to articles relating to people.
