Antony Bek, Bishop of Norwich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Antony Bek (also spelled Beck) (1279 – 19 December 1343) was the chancellor and dean of Lincoln Cathedral and became bishop of Norwich after a disputed election in 1337.
He was a quarrelsome man and, after a stormy episcopate, died on 19 December 1343.
He is not to be confused with Antony Bek, bishop of Durham and Latin patriarch of Jerusalem, his kinsman and namesake.
