[edit] Biography

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and his twin brother (Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira) both hail from the town of Vitoria da Conquista, Brazil, and train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Ricardo de la Riva. Along with his brother, he trains with the other members of Brazilian Top Team.

Although they are identical twins, Rogerio can be distinguished from his brother by his lighter weight, and by the presence of a scar on his brother's lower back.

[edit] Pride Career

Antonio competes in the Middleweight division of the Pride Fighting Championships. His PRIDE career debuted in the 2001 with a TKO victory over Shamoji Fujii. Since then, his notable wins have included victories over Guy Mezger, Kazushi Sakuraba, and Dan Henderson. A grappling specialist, all of his wins thus far have been by either decision (usually unanimous), submission, or TKO caused by a submission hold. It is currently rumored that either Antonio or his teammate and good friend, Ricardo Arona, will fight Wanderlei Silva for the Middle Weight championship.
