Anthropogenic

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anthropogenic effects or processes are those that are derived from human activities, as opposed to effects or processes that occur in the natural environment without human influences.

The term is often used in the context of environmental externalities in the form of chemical or biological wastes that are produced as by-products of otherwise purposeful human activities. It is widely accepted that the production of Carbon Dioxide is the main culprit.
