His first professional writing credit was an interview with actor Martin Landau for SFTV Magazine.

Wynn is co-author (with Barry Morse and Robert E. Wood) of the books Merely Players - The Scripts (2003), and Pulling Faces, Making Noises: A Life on Stage, Screen and Radio (2004). The forthcoming Remember With Advantages: Chasing 'The Fugitive' and Other Stories from an Actor's Life (the theatrical memoir of Barry Morse also written with Robert E. Wood and Barry Morse) will be released by McFarland and Company publishers in January 2007. Actor Martin Landau has written the Foreword for the book.

His Stories of the Theatre (with Robert E. Wood) was published in 2006; the material in the book combines the drama, tragedy and comedy of theatrical history with tales of actors, actresses, playwrights and critics. He also wrote the Foreword to the 2006 hardbound edition of the classic novel The Green Carnation by Robert Hichens (which was based on Hichens' personal relationships with Oscar Wilde and Bosie Douglas). He also edited a book of original fiction entitled Everything Yet To Be (2005).

Wynn's upcoming book releases include the comprehensive omnibus Presenting Barry Morse & Merely Players, as well as Talkin' Trek and Other Stories: Conversations with Performers, Professionals and Fans on a Science Fiction Phenomenon, to be published by BearManor Media in August 2007. This book will feature career interviews with more than a dozen actors, actresses, and others associated with various incarnations of Star Trek, including: Robin Curtis, Nick Tate, Grace Lee Whitney, Paul Carr, Armin Shimerman, Bibi Besch, Susan Sackett, James Doohan, Eric A. Stillwell, George Takei and Gene Roddenberry.

[edit] Playwright

Wynn's two-act, two-actor drama Bernard and Bosie: A Most Unlikely Friendship, explores the complex relationship between playwright George Bernard Shaw and poet Lord Alfred 'Bosie' Douglas. It is based on the correspondence exchanged between the two men in the 1930s and early 1940s. Having met in-person only once, the two - while from the absolute opposite ends of the spectrum - manage to connect and form a friendship. The play has been performed in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

[edit] Science Fiction Fandom

In the 1970s and early 1980s, Wynn served on the Command Staff of Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association as the Chief of Fleet Communications and as the titular Editor of the Communique, created and published by Eric A. Stillwell. In 1983 he left to found another Star Trek fan organization, Trek International, a group that ultimately boasted some thirty chapters worldwide. Wynn also served as Editor of that organization’s publication, The Fleet Herald, throughout his tenure with the group. Trek International survived for about six years before disbanding; many of the chapters merged into Starfleet. The Guinness Book of World Records now recognizes Starfleet as the world’s largest science fiction fan club.

Wynn has also been involved with Space: 1999 fandom since 1976. He edited and published the Reconnaissance Newsletter and other fan publications.

He has organized and managed more three dozen science fiction conventions and film screening events in Texas and the Pacific Northwest, as well as assisting at other fan gatherings in Ohio, California, New York and Florida. These events raised thousands of dollars for children's charitable causes and Parkinson's disease treatment and research.

[edit] Producer

As producer, he has brought the drama Blasphemy, starring Cil Stengel, to the stage; as well as many multiple productions of the play Merely Players throughout the USA and Canada. He also co-produced two separate productions of A.R. Gurney's hit Broadway play Love Letters. Wynn also produced the world premiere of Doug Grissom's drama Contact starring Ryan Case and Barry Morse. Other live events he has produced include An Evening of Song With Nichelle Nichols, The Star Trek Anniversary Celebration with Robin Curtis and Paul Carr, and Out on Broadway with Grethe Cammermeyer.

He also produced the 60-minute audio drama Rogues and Vagabonds. The piece is introduced by Tobias Andersen and stars Barry Morse. It features fresh, new performances from the pages of theatrical history, including: The Man Who Killed Lincoln, Charles Dickens: Would-Be Actor, David Garrick: An Ideal Actor, plus performances based on works by Shakespeare (Hamlet), and George Bernard Shaw.
