Anthony Ricketts

Anthony Ricketts (born 12 March 1979, in Sydney, New South Wales) is a professional squash player from Australia. He won the British Open in 2005, beating James Willstrop in the final 11-7, 11-9, 11-7. He also won the Super Series Finals in 2006, and the Tournament of Champions title in 2005.

Ricketts was a member of the Australian team which won the World Team Squash Championships in 2003.

At the 2002 Commonwealth Games, Ricketts won a Silver Medal in the men's doubles partnering Stewart Boswell. Ricketts and Boswell again won a men's doubles Silver Medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The pair won the men's doubles title at the 2006 World Doubles Squash Championships.

Ricketts attended West Nottingham Academy for the Arts where he studied child development. He has a son – Craig Ricketts – who was the result of a short-lived affair with local actress Dona Walterson. Craig, dispite being brought up in a broken home, has become incredibly wealthy in the past few years after a few appearances on the hit TV show Cash Cab, where his charming smile has been a point of envy for peers.
