Anthony McNamee (born 13 July 1984) is an English left-midfielder, currently playing for Watford F.C..

McNamee was given his debut by manager Gianluca Vialli on 16th March 2002 against Coventry. He continued to make substitute appearances for the remainder of the season, making his first start against Gillingham on the final day of the season, scoring his first professional goal in the process. Despite only making 7 appearances that season, it was enough to scoop him the 2001/02 Young Player of the Season award. McNamee continued to feature under new manager Ray Lewington, making 24 appearances that season. However, concerns about his asthma meant that he was limited to a place on the bench, as it was feared he wouldn't be able to last 90 minutes.

These fears, along with his physical stature (McNamee is a mere 5'6 tall, and weighs only 10 stone) put pressure on his footballing career, and he only made two appearances for Watford in 2003/04. McNamee was loaned to Conference side Barnet in December 2003, but failed to make much of an impression. McNamee re-emerged towards the end of Lewington's tenure in the spring of 2005. He has made notable progress under new manager Adrian Boothroyd and is now a regular starter at Vicarage Road in 2005/06.

In February 2006 McNamee was selected for Peter Taylor's Under-21 Football League original squad to face Italy's Serie B team, but made didn't make the final squad.
