Ansgar Gabrielsen

Ansgar Gabrielsen (b. May 21, 1955, Mandal) is a Norwegian politician (Conservatives). He was mayor of Lindesnes municipality 1987–1993, member of the Norwegian Parliament 1993–2001, Minister of Trade and Industry 2001–2004, and Minister of Health and Care Services 2004–2005. He had been elected for his third term in Parliament when he was appointed cabinet minister in 2001.
Gabrielsen is an insurance agent by education and worked in this profession before becoming mayor. He is also a trained officer in the Norwegian military. He is married and has four children.
