Anola, Manitoba

A small town 20 km east of Winnipeg made famous by Corey Koskie, a MLB player. It is located in the municipality of Springfield with approximately 200 people living within its limits. However, it does have quite an extensive population living around its area who consider themselves to be part of Anola. It has many well established businesses including Anola Building Centre, a hardware and lumber store. It was first established in the early 1900's as a railroad stop. Its name is derived from the word "knoll" meaning a hill or mound, which the community is built on.
