Has anyone else here gotten their tongue lasered and not clipped? I'm just curious to see how common this is.

I got it lasered off, too --71.242.192.150 02:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm 17, and I just got my tongue tie clipped yesterday, since then the tip of my tongue has been numb, would anybody know why this occured and how to stop it? It feels like when you cut off the circulation to your foot and it falls asleep. Should I be doing tongue exercises to prevent scar tissue??

It still feels numb for me after about 8 months of having it done. Also, watch out for the Listerine strips ;) --71.242.192.150 02:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

"There is a fifteen year old girl in Wisconsin, that has lived with her tongue tied, never clipped, that has experienced slight to no speech impediments." I'm sixteen and I just got the correction done.. does that mean I can be in the article? (No speech impediments, either) --71.242.116.39 04:57, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Don't see why not.
Removed "There is a fifteen year old girl in Wisconsin, that has lived with her tongue tied, never clipped, that has experienced slight to no speech impediments. This is also amazing as neither of her parents have any family history of this disease. She hopes that there will be ongoing studies into why this disease occurs, but as of right now, all she can do is hope." because it was anecdotal. Aeonite
