Anjali Rao is a journalist and anchor of CNN International's news and business program, World News Asia, since January 2006. Rao often co-anchors with Andrew Stevens live from CNN’s Asia headquarters in Hong Kong.

Before joining CNN, Rao worked as a producer and reporter at Hong Kong’s Wharf Cable Television and worked at Channel 7 in Melbourne, Australia.

In addition, she worked at Star TV where she won the top prize at the 2004 Amnesty International Human Rights Press Awards. Anjali is probably best known in the UK as the former present for Sky News and Channel 5 news. She became renowned to UK viewers for her striking and attractive look but unfortunately for them has now moved to Hong Kong to CNN international.

Rao was educated in Hong Kong and at London’s City University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Sociology and Media Studies.
