Animax Entertainment is an Emmy Award winning animation studio based in Culver City, California that focuses on creating fun character driven experiences for all screens and media. Animax's clients include Disney, ESPN, Warner Bros., National Geographic, Sesame Workshop, WWE and many others. Animax has a particular expertise in Adobe Flash animation and has produced work for broadband, broadcast, DVD, CD-ROM and other platforms. Animax recently won a Sports Emmy Award for their work on ESPN.com's Off-Mikes based on Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg and their ESPN Radio show Mike and Mike in the Morning. The series was also selected as Adobe Systems Site of the Day on June 20, 2006.
The Flash animation studio, also known as Animax Interactive, was founded in November 2001 by Andrew K. Bain and Dave Thomas, the actor, writer, and producer known for his Emmy award-winning work on SCTV. The COO of the company is Michael Bellavia. The flash animation studio has won a number of awards in addition to the Emmy including multiple Webby Awards, multiple Summit Awards, and multiple Los Angeles Advertising Club Belding Bowls among others.
The company also produces original animation for TV and the web. The company launched ArnoldSpeaks.com in 2006.
