Anima Sound System
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anima Sound System is a Hungarian instrumental band founded in 1993 . Anima is one of the most important Hungarian electronic acts, an unique fusion of Eastern-European folk music and modern electronic styles. Their first international performance, in 1996, took place in Vienna at "Soundsfair Festival", (as the only Eastern-European act) along with bands like Red Snapper, Goldie and Nightmares on Wax.
After touring Eastern European cities and capitals - 8 perfomances in Prague alone - Anima Sound System has begun to draw interest from Western European promoters - from the "Glasshaus" in Berlin, to "Divan du Monde" in Paris. Anima Sound System have a few songs on the Buddha Bar albums, such as 68 (Original Mix) as the first song on Buddha Bar vol 1 - Party.
