[edit] Passion (yaoi)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Passion (yaoi), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a direct copy from http://www.book-info.com/isbn/1-56970-978-5.htm?ID=a16da9dd520502a94458f4dd32dc22ca. As a copyright violation, Passion (yaoi) appears to qualify for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Passion (yaoi) has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If the source is a credible one, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:Passion (yaoi). If the article has already been deleted, but you have a proper release, you can reenter the content at Passion (yaoi), after describing the release on the talk page. However, you may want to consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Kavadi carrier 15:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not restore it again as a copyvio or you will be blocked. --Improv 18:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have blocked you for 48 hours for repeated posting of copyvio material. Please don't do it again or you will be blocked indefinitely. --Improv 19:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not remove this warning from your page, at least for the duration of your block. --Improv 21:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
You have removed several user warning templates from your user or user talk page. This is a bad idea. These warnings are not put on your talk page to annoy you; they are put here because other editors think that your behavior needs improvement, and we're giving you the courtesy of letting you know. When you remove the warnings without replying, it gives the impression that you do not care that your editing behavior may be a problem. Please respond by changing your behavior, and please stop removing the warnings. Thank you. --Masamage 17:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting in touch with me - it's much easier to address concerns with editing when there's communication. I deleted it again because it was still likely the content would be considered a copyright violation - paraphrasing such content does not give us new content that is legally appropriate for the project. I would suggest that if you want an article on the topic, you should start literally from scratch, ignoring the old text and just writing from what you know - that would give us legally unencumbered data. Note that neither the deletions nor the block were meant personally -- I felt I had no other choice as you wern't responding to my messages and were continuing to post legally questionable materials. Hopefully we can resolve remaining policy issues with discussion. Take care. --Improv 16:56, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gary Strydom
Just wondering why you removed the image? Glen 14:13, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. That's fine, just remember when doing stuff like that to use the Edit Summary box to explain what you are doing, or it looks like vandalism. Thanks! Glen 14:31, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

- No problem - just helps as it can look like vandalism to others - I've posted some info below - keep up the great work :)
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Glen 15:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Preview
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Geniac 04:05, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Tsukasa Hojo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tsukasa Hojo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 22:17, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About contributions
Looks like we've got about the same mindset when it comes to editing Wikipedia. I tidied up the Yellow (manga) article you started on a little bit. I'll probably look at the other ones you started too, once I'm finished with revising the Dandelion Wine article after rereading the book. It's in my personal sandbox, if you'd like to comment on it. Nowhere near finished yet, though. ^_^ Breed Zona 22:02, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your "partial chart" sections
Hi. I've removed many of these and/or placed cleanup tags on them. For many of these artists, these lists are not necessary, as the articles already contain a singles table or a discography page for the artist already exists. In addition, they look like copy & paste jobs from another source, i.e. they are not formatted properly. There is no need to list the same song repeatedly on multiple lines and chart names should be wikilinked at least once. In the cases where a table for singles exists, it would look best to add column(s) to it so that an article doesn't have a table and a list. The title itself (containing the name "partial" suggests "incomplete", which isn't good) and the fact that they focus solely on the U.S. shows POV. You may want to check out WP:SONGS or WP:MUSIC/TABLE also, or feel free to ask me if you need assistance with templates and layouts, etc. Thanks. - eo 13:08, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I understand that you want to see the performance on various charts, but your method does not mesh with what is already in these articles. Adding just a few songs in a partial list with some U.S. component charts really isn't helping the article, especially if it looks like a bullet-list was just tacked on to the end of what is already there. For example, the Bee Gees have a huge number of hits and they have their own discography page, and you've added eight songs at the end with some songs listed multiple times. Your edits (as they are now) are not improving the articles. - eo 18:29, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks.... I think what would make it better (especially for an artist who has a lot of hit singles) is if you contributed chart statistics for all their songs, not just a few from, say, the last 5-10 years. In several cases I've seen articles that have a table for just the U.S. and UK pop charts, and then someone else will come along with, for example, an artist's full U.S. R&B chart history and add a new column. That's just an example of what works. Doing this is not difficult, it just takes a little time, and like I said I can assist if you want me to. - eo 18:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Monicabran.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Monicabran.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 15:00, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe you uploaded them twice? I think there where a whole bunch of dublicate Monica Brant images you uploaded I tagged today... --Fritz Saalfeld (Talk)

[edit] Heidi, Girl of the Alps
Hi there, I noticed you have added the plot to the Heidi, Girl of the Alps article. However, the plot looks like an amended version of the Anime Academy summary. Could you rewrite or remove it as to avoid copyright problems? Ninja neko 10:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
