From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is no single "Anglican Church;" it is better to speak of the Anglican churches. Over seventy million Anglicans are members of national churches which hold membership in the Anglican Communion and are in communion with the Church of England. Some of the Anglican churches which do not hold membership in the Anglican Communion are members of parallel federations such as the Traditional Anglican Communion, the Anglican Catholic Communion, or the Anglican Church International Communion. These churches are often referred to as "Continuing" Anglican churches or as part of the Continuing Anglican Movement.
