Angus MacDonald (politician)

Angus MacDonald was elected a Scottish National Party Councillor on Falkirk Council on 16th December 2004, with 56% of the vote. A former Falkirk District Councillor and Justice of the Peace from 1992 until 1996, he sits on various committees in his role as a councillor. These include Economic Development, Education & Leisure, Environment & Heritage, Housing & Social Services and the Regulatory Committee.
He is also a member of Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Board, and is Falkirk Council's representative on the Citizen's Advice Bureau for Grangemouth & Bo'ness. In addition he is Chairman of Mod 2008 Falkirk, co-ordinating plans for the Royal National Mod, due to be held in Falkirk district in 2008. He will restand as SNP Candidate in Grangemouth Ward for the forthcoming 2007 Falkirk Council elections due to take place on 3rd May 2007.
