Angela Thorne

Angela Thorne (born January 25, 1939 in Karachi, then British India now Pakistan) is an English actress.
The daughter of a doctor, she came to England to train for the stage at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and her first professional engagement was with the Caryl Jenner Children's Theatre. After repertory seasons at York and Sheffield, she appeared in Night Must Fall at Theatre Royal, Windsor and the Haymarket. She also appeared in television productions, including Elizabeth R, The Liars, and The Canterville Ghost, playing the leading role opposite Bruce Forsyth as the Ghost.
She appeared in one episode of the BBC sitcom The Good Life as Lady Truscott, before appearing as Marjory Frobisher (aka Muddlesome Marj) in To the Manor Born. She then followed this with a lead role in another sitcom, Three Up, Two Down.
She married television actor Peter Penry-Jones on September 22, 1967, and they have two sons, who are both actors, Laurence and Rupert (who has a daughter with actress Dervla Kirwan).
