Angel & Greyhound Meadow, Oxford

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also known as Angel Meadow, the Angel & Greyhound Meadow is an attractive stretch of parkland adjoining the River Cherwell just north of Magdalen Bridge, Oxford, England and opposite Magdalen College. It derives its name from the old Angel & Greyhound coaching inn in the High Street, for which it served as a horse-pasture. The old inn has now moved to St Clements.

The park is very low-lying, and very often partially or completely floods during February to March.
