Anett Pötzsch (born June 3, 1960 in Karl-Marx-Stadt [today renamed Chemnitz] Saxony, Germany) is a German figure skater.
She represented the GDR (East-Germany) in the ladies events at international championships and in 1980 became the Olympic Champion, as well as world champion in 1978 and 1980. She also won the European title four times, from 1977 to 1980. Her coach was Jutta Müller.
Pötzsch was married to Axel Witt, the brother of Katarina Witt. The couple has a child named Claudia Rauschenbach. Claudia Rauschenbach also became a German figure skating champion, but in pair skating.
Her second husband was Axel Rauschenbach, a former German champion in pair skating.
Pötzsch works now as a coach in Chemnitz, Germany. She is also an international judge for figure skating and an ISU technical specialist. She was interested in participating in shows after her amateur career, but that was impossible due to the political system in the former East Germany (GDR).
Her first name is sometimes incorrectly spelled "Annett." The old East German newspapers always spelled with a single 'n.'
