Andy Robinson (born 3rd November 1979 in Birkenhead, Liverpool, UK) is a professional football player, currently playing for League One side Swansea City. He is part of the Scouse connection at the club and also the free-kick specialist.
Robinson began his football career playing for non-league Merseyside team Cammell Laird before being recruited by Tranmere Rovers on 1st December 2002. Rovers overlooked his potential however and soon released him, allowing Swansea City to snap him up; initially on a 3 month trial then on a permanent basis.
He possesses a terrific work-rate with a never say die attitude though his temper being his only detriment. He has missed more than a handful of games in his time at Swansea City, including the first 5 games of the 2005/06 season and has now seemed to calm himself and has not been red carded since.
