Andy Powell

Andy Powell (born February 19, 1950 in Stepney, East London) is an English musician, one of the founding members of legendary rock band Wishbone Ash, an influential British rock band that formed in 1969. Andy is the only remaining original member of the band which he manages and runs from his base in Connecticut, USA. [1]
Andy and his original 'guitar buddy' Ted Turner were the original exponents of 'Twin Lead Guitar', and amongst others have been widely credited with influencing bands such as Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Umphrey's McGee, and Big Country. Andy's trade mark guitar is a 1967 Gibson Flying V.
