[edit] History
Dr. Victor J. "Doc" Andrew was a physicist by training, but a radio engineer by preference when he founded the company on January 1, 1937. Initial product offerings consisted principally of antenna tuning and transmission line equipment for broadcast stations. Early on, he identified "antenna systems" as an area of technological specialization, establishing the focus of his company and marking its beginnings as a leading designer and producer of electronic communications products, systems and services.[1]
