Andrés Oppenheimer

Andrés Oppenheimer is an author and award-winning journalist born in Argentina, best known for his deep analysis of Latin American politics. He is a senior columnist for the Miami Herald and has published several books. His work has been recognized in the past with several awards including the 1987 Pulitzer Prize as part of the team that covered the Iran-Contra Affair.
Born in Buenos Aires, Oppenheimer studied law at the University of Buenos Aires and left the country following the military coup in 1976.
