André Thomas

Dr. André Jerome Thomas (b. 1952) is a renowned composer, arranger and choral conductor. He attended Friends University, Northwestern University (M.M.), and the University of Illinois (D.M.A.). Today, he holds the positions of Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Choral Music Education at the Florida State University College of Music.

Along with Moses Hogan, Thomas is known for popular compositions and arrangements in the tradition of the African American spiritual.
