Notable alumni of the college include NT Rama Rao former chief minister of the state, Jandhyala Papayya Sastry a famous Poet (wrote Pushpa Vilapam, Kunthi Vilapam). Two other former Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh: Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and Bhavanam Venkatram were also the alumni of this college.
