Ancoats and Clayton is a political ward of Manchester City Council comprising the districts of Ancoats, Clayton and Openshaw.

St Michael's Flags and Angel Meadow Park is one of the largest parks in this ward.

The ward is represented on Manchester City Council by three Labour councillors.
