Ancients (art group)

The Ancients, or Shoreham Ancients, were a group of English artists who admired and followed the work of William Blake in the 1820s and 1830s. The group, which comprised George Richmond, Samuel Palmer and Edward Calvert, gathered regularly at the home of Palmer in the Kent village of Shoreham.
