My user name is misleading. It is not an indication of my political leanings. It is my Puzzle Pirates name.

I have a number of different roles:

• PhD student - I am working on a thesis on practical reason.
• Part-time fixed term lecturer - I have taught epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, informal logic, ethics, and philosophy of science.
• Chair of a health and disability ethics committee - engaged in the independent review of health related research.
• Senior officer in the crew Iliad on the Puzzle Pirates Viridian ocean

I live in New Zealand with my husband and daughters.

• Wrote the first entry for Nel Noddings This is work in progress; I am still developIng the page.
• Tidied up some of the links for entires in the New Zealand Dictionary of Biography
• Added a paragraph to the page on Janet Frame.
• Added to the page on Alasdair MacIntyre
• Developed the Miss Rumphius page
• Begun an entry for Mabel Howard
• Edited and expanded Descriptive ethics
