[edit] Episode Synopsis

Carrie is now in Paris with Aleksandr. She has lunch with Juliette, Petrovsky's ex-wife. The two of them get on well. Juliet explains to Carrie that they split up because she got tired to be second-best: his art always came first. Carrie starts to wonder if she will follow the same destiny as Juliet's.

While wandering in Paris, Carrie meets some of her French fans who decide on the spot to organise a party in her honor. This cheers up Carrie. Aleksandr seems to be pleased for her. He is about to present his new installation to the Museum curator and his colleagues.

Samantha suffers from the side-effects of the chemotherapy and her sex drive has plummeted. She does not know how to deal with her feelings about it and tries to push Smith away by convincing that he needs to sleep with other women on set of his new film. Smith genuinely loves and cares about Samantha. He comes back from the set to tell her how much he loves her and eventually Samantha opens her heart to him.

Steve's mother, Mary seems to be disoriented and confused. Steve & Miranda discover that she has been living in a pit for a while. They both agree that Mary has to come and live with them. It is a difficult trial after all that happened to them but they know their love is strong enough to withstand it. One day, Miranda finds Mary wandering around and eating food from the garbage bins. She takes her back home and bathes her. Magda is moved by the unconditional love that Miranda manifests in this gesture.

On the night of the big presentation, Petrovsky has a panic attack and begs Carrie to abandon her project (her party with her French fans) to come and support him. She forsakes her plan for her lover and finds herself abandoned and lonely in the big museum where she cannot smoke. While she searches her bag, she finds again her "Carrie" necklace. Like the Proust's madeleine, this necklace brings back memories to the surface and especially the sense of who she is. She flies away to her party but when she arrives, her fans probably desabused have gone.

In the meantime, we see Big meeting Charlotte, Miranda & Samantha. He explains how much he loves Carrie and against all odds, Miranda tells him to go and get the girl. We see Big looking for Carrie in Paris and missing her once.

Carrie goes back to the hotel. Big is now in the Place Athéné but Carrie does not see it yet. Aleksandr and Carrie have an argument where Petrovsky hits Carrie by mistake and destroys the diamond necklace that he has offered her. Carrie explains to him that she is looking for big crazy love and that she is not finding it with him. Carrie collects the diamonds on the floor and goes to the reception desk to ask for another room. There she meets Big who wants to punch the Russian artist as soon as he hears what has happened. Carrie runs after him and says he does not need to do this and they both fall on the floor, laughing. Eventually, they walk outside and on a bridge Big tells Carrie that he took some time to realise that she is the One. Carrie smiles and they start to kiss.
