Amstrad Computer User

Amstrad Computer User was the official magazine for the Amstrad CPC series of 8-bit home computers. This monthly publication was usually referred to as ACU by its readers.

ACU ran from August 1984 to May 1992, producing 90 issues in total. Originally titled Amstrad CPC464 User, it was renamed to Amstrad Computer User when the CPC664 was released in 1985.

Reviews usually featured a full-page description of the game from a neutral point of view, followed by comments by three different reviewers and a score out of twenty by each reviewer. This gave the reader a good understanding of the game and allowed the reader to make a decision based on more than one point of view.
