Amshuverma
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amshuverma was the Licchavi king of Nepal in the Sixth century A.D.
Amshuverma is credited with having built the famous Kailaskut Bhawan. He is also accredited with bringing about several administrative, judicial, land surveying and economic reforms.
Amshuverma is best known for his farsightedness and political sagacity. He arranged a matrimonial alliance for his sister with king Samudragupta of the Maurya dynasty of India, and for his daughter with the Tibetian king Srong Chong Gampo. Thus, he removed the possibility of both Chinese or Indian invasion.
