AMROHA ,distt.,Muradabad,India , is known as the homeland of SYED SHARAF-U-DIN ,titled for his saintly nature as, SHAH WALLAYAT, meaning king/prince of the saints.About 700 years ago , he came there along with his clan,nobles of the SADDAT DYNASTY...Descendents of Prophet MUHAMMAD(PBUH), HAZRAT ALI(AS)AND HAZRAT FATIMA(AS).

SHAH WILLAYAT named the city,AMROHA,as when he came to the city the first food offered to him was MANGO(aam>>>urdu) and RAHU MACHLI(a kind of Fish)thus, by taking the first part of AAM and RAHU, he coined the term AMROHA.

He came there at the advice of his maternal uncle,who was also his father-in-law,Hazrat Jallalud Din(Surkh Bukhari of Uuch,Multan),he was also the spiritual mentor of Hazrat Shah Wallayat.

After settling down his family in the city,he went for spiritual conquests to the Himalayas,where he prayed in seclusion for about 40 years.He was also known as PEER PAHARRI,due to Hiamalyan link.Thereafter,he came back to his family in the city of AMROHA.
