Amroth, Pembrokeshire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Amroth is a holiday resort village 7 miles east of Tenby, Pembrokeshire. A long, fine, sandy beach stretches the whole length of the village. At extreme low tide you can still see the petrified forest which are the remains of a forest destroyed when sea levels rose thousands of years ago. Several good places to eat and three fine inns together with the beach and safe swimming make Amroth an ideal family holiday centre. Ruins of the castle still remain and one mile inland is an Anglican church. Amroth is also the start of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
Amroth is also an electoral ward of Pembrokeshire and community with its own community council.
