[edit] Amphiteres in mythology
Amphiteres were very large dragon-related creatures who were basicly feathered derpents with two wings as limbs. They resembled the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl.
[edit] Amphitheres in Dragonology
Amphiteres are in the book Dragonology as Amphitheres (note the "h" between the "t" and the "e"), and they are the only American type of dragon . Yet, Amphitheres have three subspecies:
- The Mexican Plumed Serpent, whose description is the same of the original Amphiteres;
- The Moth-Dragon, an Amphithere with fur instead of feathers;
- Draco Americanus Incognito, a very mysterious Amphithere.
