Amn Kit, if I may, I’d like to recommend Wikipedia’s article Copyright as an introduction to the not-so-fun world of copyright law.
In a nutshell, however, almost everything that has been published somewhere and can possibly be useful for Wikipedia is protected by copyright, unless it’s very old. You cannot copy material that is subject to copyright to Wikipedia unless the copyright holder of that material grants you (and/or the rest of the world) explicit permission to do so and to license the material under the terms of the GFDL. This almost never is the case, therefore the converse, i. e. that you cannot copy the material, is the initial assumption. (It is also legally safer.)
To use the about.com page as an example, you might notice that, at its bottom, there is the following note:

©2006 About, Inc., A part of The New York Times Company. All rights reserved.

User talk:Amn Kit
The last bit says that the material is not usable on Wikipedia. The rest identifies the copyright owner and the year of publication (presumably). Note that even the absence of such a remark by itself does not constitute permission to use the material.
Please read a bit about this issue and save everybody else some work by abiding by the relevant laws (at least on Wikipedia). —xyzzyn 21:11, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
