[edit] De La Salle University
Hello AmiDaniel. I do not know why my IP address showed up as being the last editor of the De La Salle University page, but I never visited the Wiki page of De La Salle University. I even checked my browser's history and I didn't find any past visits to the Wiki page of De La Salle University. I am positive that maybe my IP address was mistaken for someone else's computer visiting the page? I am behind a firewall, does this have anything to do with my IP address maybe being mistaken for someone else's computer? Thank You. - Jay
[edit] Snowclones
I added to and modified some information on the list of snowclones, but returned later to find that all my edits had been removed with VandalProof: [[1]] I feel I legitimately needed to modify them as I did, as for the snowclone "All your base are belong to us", not only "base" is modified, but sometimes "us" as well. One example where "us" was the only one modified is one of the LiveJournal error pages, which has a mock "all your base" script containing the line "All your base are belong to Frank" (Frank is the LiveJournal mascot). The next edit was to add in the "I'm in ur base killin ur d00dz" snowclone, which has definitely made the rounds of the Internet as a snowclone (I have no less than 9 icons containing some version of it), and as such should legitimately be added into the list of snowclones. The reason for the other five edits is that I often don't notice what I've overlooked until it's been added--then I have to edit once more to fix it. One of those edits was to fix a link another user had created wrongly. I don't understand how my edits could be seen as vandalism to anyone who looked at them. I'm not sure what to do beyond leaving a message here. My e-mail is doranwen AT yahoo DOT com (replace the words and spaces with the correct symbols). --Doranwen
[edit] Clerk for Requests for Checkuser
Hey AmiDaniel,
I am messaging you to ask whether you would be interested in reassuming your role as a Request for Checkuser clerk. Currently, the clerk duties are being shared among three experienced clerks, and we have added two new clerks, who are currently in the learning stage. We are currently experiencing backlogs and long waiting times for some actions to occur.
As you are currently listed under "inactive" on our clerk roster, we're asking that if you are willing to resume these clerk activities, please leave a message on my user talk page (quick link). A number of things have changed, so we reccommend re-reading Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Clerks/Guide. The guide is currently being rewritten, but the new and updated version should be available by 00:00 December 12, 2006 (UTC) at the latest.
If you aren't interested in being a checkuser clerk any longer, we accept your decision and thank you for your service; it would be greatly appreciated if you'd leave me a note that you're no longer interested. If you would like to resume your role in the future, but can't do so now, please mention so on my talk page, and I'll note this on our clerk register.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ], Head Clerk, for Essjay (talk), 05:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] VP problem
I can't get into vandalproof because it says I'm not on the user list, but I remember Betacommand approving me. --AAA! (AAAA • AAAAAAAA) 01:09, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:OP
I have posted a comment on the talk page at WP:Open Proxies regarding this, but I felt that I would get a quicker answer from you. I was wondering how to become a verified user as I can check for open proxies quickly and accurately, and am highly interested in helping to clear the backlog at OP. I have a good knowledge of open proxies, DNS, IPs and IT in general. Thanks, and sorry for the crossposting! ><RichardΩ612 ER 17:48, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] VP2
Is VandalProof 2 active? Is there a way to volunteer for beta testing? It's a brilliant idea, wish I thought of it myself! Scienceman123 talk 03:19, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia Weekly Notification!
This is just a friendly reminder that Wikipedia Weekly has been released with a new episode!
Actually, it's a couple of new episodes. I've been moving to an place closer to campus (my commute was getting to me) and hence, the reminder message was a little slow in coming out. So slow we put out 2 where before we had 1.
Anyways, all is good now, here's the new episodes!
As always you can download old episodes and more at http://wikipediaweekly.com/!
Please spread the word about Wikipedia Weekly, we're trying to spread the word so that people know about the project, we've got some cool guests lined up and it makes it much more fun if people tune in!

[edit] Having problems with User:Chowbok
A problem has developed over an image at StarMetro where I've uploaded a screenshot of a bus and documented it as such. Chowbak insists that it is not to be used because a photo should be obtained by camera. Please way in and see discussion at Image talk:Star Metro01.jpg Thanks. Noles1984 23:18, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
