[edit] Pablomartinez (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log) — Abusive VP user
Can someone check up an a user Pablomartinez who is adding speedy deletion tags to anything he doesn't like the look of (or understand??). About 20 in last 2 hours.
-- Maelor 19:42, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks. You can see trace them back at a page I added tonight and he decided (within minutes) should be deleted, Cyfri'r Giefr. I note that his user page and talk have been deleted by another user!
- I'm embarrased to say that I was about to 'move' the page to "Cyfri'r Geifr" as I made a spelling mistake in the page title!

[edit] Edits of interest
Upon investigating I find reason to ask Pablomartinez why he was making some of the edits he was making, for clarity I will post a list of all articles to whitch a speedy deletion tag was added by Pablomartinez (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log). Eagle talk 22:40, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- This is all edits made by Pablomartinez during a select time period. Interesting edits are noted with bold text. (italic is notes by me Eagle talk)
- 19:39, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) User talk:Oscar1974 (Warning user using VP) Note this is for removing a deletion tag, which one, I am not yet sure of. Still investigating. — Reason cannot be found, so I asked Pablomartinez to comment Eagle talk 22:57, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- 19:28, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) World of KJ (Propose deletion using VP)
- 19:27, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) Collar Laundry Union (→Collar Laundry Union - {{ cleanup}})
- 19:26, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) Kumlau (Propose Transwiki move using VP) (top)
- 19:25, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) Ah Long ({{ cleanup}})
- 19:23, 17 July 2006 (hist) (diff) Cyfri'r Giefr (Tag for speedy deletion using VP.)

This should do, I invite other moderators to please investigate, I did all the grunt work! Eagle talk 22:40, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

- Thank you Eagle 101, those are some of the pages I was referring to. My complaint about the user user:Pablomartinez are:
- The speed at which he puts forward articles for speedy deletion, cleanup, etc., suggests that he has given little consideration to the content of those articles or their suitability for inclusion in Wikepedia.
- I note that user:Pablomartinez was initially refused access to VandalProof on June 13 2006 owing to insufficient edits. He then appears to have proceeded with a blitz of edits (some questionable or trivial) in order to achieve the necessary edit count.
- I have searched through user:Pablomartinez's contribution list and have been unable to find any original work. His contributions appear to comprise of nothing but negative criticism of other Wikipedians work. It is difficult to understand how someone who has created nothing himself feels able to tell others that articles they have submitted are unsuitable for Wikipedia.
- Having put up an article that I had just contributed for speedy deletion, user:Pablomartinez made no attempt to contact me to explain his reasons.

[edit] Ok, but please note several things
- On RC patrol, I often don't look at any one page for more than 30 seconds, often it is 10 seconds or less. Seeing that none of the edits putting a deletion tag are more than several minutes apart, that does imply that he has taken enough time.
- When posting a article for speedy deletion — there is no requirement to notify the creator of the article. On wikipedia noone "owns" an article.
- To Maelor specifically, Have you looked at the reason why Cyfri'r Giefr was put up for deletion. (Try to fix that problem)

[edit] What is the reason for this edit?
- Note: this is a copy of the conversation that went on at User talk:Pablomartinez —— Eagle (ask me for help) 18:39, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
You have been reported on User talk:AmiDaniel/VP/Abuse. Please find the section about you and explain why you did the actions you did. Most likely nothing serious will happen (like being banned from VP ect.) Just take in the comments and learn a bit!
There is one edit in particular I can't figure out... what article were you warning Oscar1974 for? I provided the link to the diff below. Your warning to User talk:Oscar1974
Sorry about having to bring this up... lets hope this can be resolved shortly! Eagle talk 22:53, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- To Eagle 101: I also hate people who leave inexplicit messages such as the one you linked to. But in this case the complaints were probably valid and refer to an article which had been spammed as Tiara Bum Deeay, Tiara bumdeeay and Tiara bum deeay by Oscar1974. -- RHaworth 01:47, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- Note, next time please comment on the User talk:AmiDaniel/VP/Abuse page. Also just curious, what do you mean by inexplicit, if I can improve, let me know! —— Eagle (ask me for help) 18:39, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. note I am taking a copy of your response to User talk:AmiDaniel/VP/Abuse so other moderators can see it as well. Thanks for your reasoning! (that is all we needed) —— Eagle (ask me for help) 18:39, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Personally by the reasoning given, I don't see any need to take any action. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 18:42, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

This user vandalized at least one article by abusing VP: [1]. Thanks. ←Humus sapiens ну? 19:49, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Striking over my text. It was an honest mistake: S/He reverted only one out of two vandalism attempts. Thank you. ←Humus sapiens ну? 21:02, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

- No sign of abuse here, 24.31.114.157 (talk • contribs • WHOIS • RDNS • RBLs • block user • block log) kept removing warnings from talk page, Khukri kept reverting it.--Andeh 14:04, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
