Amir Vahedi is an Iranian professional poker player.

In 2003 Vahedi made the final table of the main event of the World Series of Poker and finished 6th, netting a $250,000 prize. Earlier in the series he won his first WSOP bracelet and $270,000 in a separate no limit Texas hold 'em event.

Vahedi was named no limit Texas hold 'em player of the year in 2001 and was 2nd place to Men Nguyen for Card Player's 2003 player of the year.

Vahedi was the first poker tutor of the actor Ben Affleck.

Vahedi is also the season three champion of the Ultimate Poker Challenge.

As of 2006, Vahedi has won over $2,700,000 in live tournament play and he has one WSOP bracelet.

Vahedi is credited with the quote, "In order to live, you must be willing to die". Vahedi resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
