Amir Shapourzadeh (born September 19, 1982 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian-German football player who plays in the striker position. He currently plays for Second Bundesliga club, FC Hansa Rostock.

[edit] Club Career
Amir Shapourzadeh started his career at Grün-Weiß Eimsbüttel and Niendorfer SV youth clubs, before moving on to Eimsbütteler TV, his first senior side. In 2002 Hamburger SV signed him, but he only played for their Amateur side. He was transferred to another Amateur side in Hansa Rostock where he built himself up the ranks until he reached the first team.

Although as of yet Amir Shapourzadeh hasn't been capped for Iran, he has said that it is his dream to play for Iran and a big Iranian club, saying "So far I've only seen and smelled the sausage with Hansa. Now I would also like to bite… “.[1].
