Amioun (Arabic: أميون), or Amyoun, is a small Greek Orthodox village in the Koura valley in North Governorate of Lebanon. The village is famous for the Battle of Amioun between the Byzantine troops and the Monothelite heresies.
Ford CEO Jacques Nasser was born in this very town in 1947. The New York essayist and philosopher Nassim Taleb originates from there and owns a vacation house on the fringes of the village.
