Amherst College Natural History Museum

Amherst College Natural History Museum is a museum of geology and natural history associated with and on the campus of Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts and is a member of Museums10. It is a successor to the Pratt Museum of Natural History, and is located in a new building completed in 2006.

The Museum has a large collection of fossils, including free-standing skeletons of a wooly mammoth and mastodon and the world's largest collection of dinosaur tracks. Many of the specimens were collected from Amherst College sponsored expeditions.

The Museum also has a large collection of rocks and minerals from around the world.

Researchers can obtain special access to the Museum's collections.
