[edit] Opinions and skills
Boring statements, to see where I might not be NPOV, where I can actually help, on what I actually have an opinion etc.
- I'm an expert in C++ (I bestow upon myself the title), and I know a few other programming languages, so I can really help with articles about libraries, programming algorithms, software projects, programming paradigms.
- I'm a fan of the bottom-up approach. I belive that working top-down can get you lost in the complexity of what you are trying to accomplish
- I am particularly interested in Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Life.
- I violently oppose DirectX and Visual C++.
- I use KDevelop, Eclipse, Kate and mcedit
- I don't have an opinion on the vi-emacs conflict.
- I know these powers-of-two: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, 32768, 65536 and 4,294,967,296 (2^32)
- I think numbers above 4,294,967,296 and under 10^-14 are useless :P
- I'm a Linux user, and I have a fairly good knowledge of things such as the open-source community, GNU, GPL, FSF and Linux itself.
- I support open-source software and use as less proprietary software as possible.
- I don't think Microsoft is evil, however I don't use their products, becuase they suck... really, really suck.
- I like Bill Gates, really, I do.
- I like Linus Torvalds better, don't worry :P.
- Oh, and Alan Cox...
- I use Fedora Core and love to get involved in distro wars.
- I also like Mandriva, Gentoo, Debian, Slackware.
- I think SuSe and LinSpire are plain stupid.
- I think FreeBSD is great, unfortunately I've only been able to read about it, I will try to download it sonner or later,
- I use KDE, not Gnome. I think that clean, quick and user-friendly is OK as long as it doesn't limit functionality.
- I write cross-platform code, although I use Linux.
- I belive that Linux should be used as the name for the operating system.
- GNU/Linux is just HUGE, and the people who use Linux are well-aware, and forever in-debt to GNU anyway.
- Also the whole argument seems stupid to me.
- I enjoy talking about mathematics, physics and have some knowledge on this subjects.
- I'm a n00b when it comes to analysis, but I am currently learning.
- I know a lot about vector, matrices, and their use in 3D graphics.
- I think computable numbers rock. However that doesn't mean I am a constructivist.
- I like Feynman and his life-style.
- I know a great deal about newtonian mechanics.
- I know a bit about fluid dynamics and othe fields about physics
- I love the internet and computers in general
- I like online comics and spend a great deal of time reading archives
- If I could download relationships, I would probably never get out of the house.
- Well there is also food, but that I can always order from ThinkGeek (who says Soylent Green Crackers and BAWLS isn't food, eh?)
- I think that stealing music is bad, and by that I mean that you should never rob a Music Store, after all you can always download it, right?
- I use Google, and own an iPod (yeah, Ballmer, you heard me well)
