Talk:American TESOL Institute
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
OK, I've completed the merge, but someone should wikify this / make it not an add from American TESOL. Orchid Righteous 04:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] No info on what it ACTUALLY is
the website scatters words like "standard" about a lot. But it doesn't say anywhere I could find anything like "American TESOL institute is a registered 501(k) charity", "... owned by Private Schools Inc", ".... controlled by the CIA foreign relations departments" or anything like that. It seems to say only what it does, not who does it. --Alvestrand 07:10, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
You can see the American TESOL Institute owners and staff under Contact US, and it clearly states the licensing on the bottom of the front page and the accreditation page. This editor has clearly taken no time to study the program website. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.122.13.145 (talk • contribs).
- Licensing: It says "American TESOL Institute TM State License in Baton Rouge, LA & Tampa, FL, U.S.A.". What does that mean, exactly? What's it licensed to do?
- Offhand, I found this record: [1] - the name belongs to Jonathan Lazarus personally, but he's let registration lapse, so it's not protected any more.
- Do you have any information about the institute that satisfies WP:REF? That is, anything EXCEPT its own website that talks about it? --Alvestrand 21:38, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
