Talk:American Edit

[edit] Not Kanye West
The first track doesn't sample "Gold Digger," it samples a parody of the song. Someone needs to find the name of the parody and the performer and fix it.
[edit] Keeping this article
I'm not sure why this got tagged with a proposal for deletion. The given reason was "Non-notable internet release only album." The article makes a strong case for the noteworthyness of its subject and I don't see the channel by which it was released further affecting whether or not it merits an article. In this case it might not belong in the case of the records but in the case of civil disobediences where American Edit DOES belong too. Like the Grey Album by DJ Danger Mouse the record must be listed to have all information about the change in the free culture movement! It is necessary to understand and know... so why shouldn't it be here? -- Anselm
[edit] YouTube links
This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 04:33, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
