AmeriPlan is a health care discount plan based in Plano, Texas.
Dennis and Daniel Bloom founded AmeriPlan USA® in 1992 with the goal of bringing affordable supplemental healthcare to as many Americans as possible. The Health Care industry in the United States is in a crisis. The cost of health care has been increasing for the past several decades.
Ameriplan is a true Consumer Driven Health Care program that puts healthcare decisions back in the hands of the patients and their medical professional in a truly affordable manner. Ameriplan is not insurance nor is it recommended that anyone cancel his or her insurance to use this program as an alternative. It is the Nation's largest health benefits discount plan. Ameriplan members receive significant savings on physicians, labs, imaging centers and a full array of medical services, including dental, vision, prescription drug and chiropractic. Members also realize additional savings on expenses associated with hospital admittances by utilizing something called the Ameriplan Patent Advocacy Program.
The usual alternative to insurance is being uninsured. Insurance cost is out of reach for many people. As a result of this they may take on higher deductibles and take advantage of the new Health Savings Accounts or HSA’s. Another possibility is the Ameriplan Health Benefits program, with it there are monthly fees but they are offset by discounts for services. Ameriplan also accepts ongoing medical conditions.
