America Abroad Media(AAM) was founded by president and chairman of the board Aaron Lobel. AAM is a non-partisan, independent media organization dedicated to informing and educating the American people about international affairs and facilitating cross-cultural discussion about international issues and America's role in the world. AAM is a non-profit organization that produces international affairs programming for radio and television in the United States and around the world. The mission of America Abroad Media (AAM) is to inform and educate the public about international affairs and elevate the quality of our public discourse through in-depth and thoughtful radio and television programming.

America Abroad is an international affairs public radio program that is distributed in the United States by Public Radio International (PRI) and internationally by National Public Radio (NPR) Worldwide. The program is anchored by Ray Suarez and correspondents Garrick Utley, Marvin Kalb, Margaret Warner, and Steven V. Roberts, and it broadcasts on more than 100 US public radio stations, including 9 of the top 10 and 18 of the top 25 markets. The program can also be heard on Sirius satellite radio and in more than 145 countries on NPR Worldwide. America Abroad reaches an estimated 550,000 listeners in the United States, and 1,000,000 listeners around the world. Recent programs include "The Challenge of Counterinsurgency", "Mexico:Getting to Know the Neighbors", and "Darfur:Genocide and Global Intervention".

AAM Television is a global television series that connects America and the world for discussion and broadcasts on prominent foreign networks. The television series, co-hosted by Judy Woodruff along with leading foreign broadcasters, connects students, government officials and experts from America and abroad for serious discussion about the critical international issues of our time. Recent AAM Television programs have included America and Pakistan: The Road Ahead, that broadcast on Geo TV in Pakistan, and America and Turkey: The Uncertain Partnership, that broadcast on CNN TÜRK in Turkey. Guests for these programs included Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Ambassador Tom Pickering (The Boeing Company), former Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman, and others. In the coming year AAM will produce a series of US-Pakistan and US-Turkey programs for prime-time broadcast in each country.

The Challenge of Counterinsurgency examines the insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how American troops are being trained to counter this emerging threat, and the history of US counterinsurgency efforts.

Mexico: Getting to Know the Neighbors examines the history of US-Mexico relations, and the key issues linking our countries today, including immigration, free trade, and the war on drugs.

Darfur:Genocide and Global Intervention examines the history of genocide in the 20th century, the lessons learned from the Rwandan tragedy, and the United Nations' diplomatic efforts to solve the crisis in Darfur.

Torture and the Laws of War examines the debate over the definition of turture, and how the treatment of enemy prisoners at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay affect America's reputation overseas.

Avian Flu: Pandemic Threat and the Global Response examines the threat posed by avian flu and the current state of global preparedness, along with revisiting the Swin Flu scare of 1976.

Evangelicals and the New Global Mission explores the influence of evangelicals on America's foreign policy and their efforts to promote an international development and human rights agenda.

Running on Empty: America's Energy Security examines the sources of energy instability, the possible consequences of a disruption in America's supply of oil, and the plausible alternatives to America's dependence on foreign oil.

The Neocons and America's Foreign Policy explores the ideological and historical roots of the neoconservative movement.
